The SD-1-T can be installed into walls and ceilings using our patented cantilever spring mounting bracket. For best results, our engineers recommend testing the SolidDrive unit on the desired surface before installing. Each SD-1-T is designed for one channel of audio. SolidDrive utilizes patent-pending dual-voice coil technology in an aluminum enclosure to transfer acoustic energy to any substrate. Using high-powered neodymium magnets and dual symmetrically opposed motors, SolidDrive converts audio signals into vibrations that transfer into solid surfaces through direct contact. The result is high-quality, full-range sound that radiates from the entire surface with a frequency response of 70 Hz to 15 kHz. The symmetrically opposed neodymium magnets and specifically engineered mounting hardware provide hidden planar-source acoustics and uniformity throughout the listening space.
